T E R M S & C O N D I T I O N S

1. Deposit & Confirmation

  • The confirmation document must be signed at least 7 days before the event in order for us to proceed.

  • Clients must check and sign the confirmation and equipment list making sure all details are correct.

  • The signed documents with the 80% deposit must be received at least 7 days prior to confirm an event.

  • All bookings and instructions from the Client must be confirmed in writing. Gingers accepts no responsibility for any misunderstandings arising through orders or instructions received verbally.

  • Order Lead Time: Orders must be placed at least 72 hours in advance, subject to availability.

2. Payment

  • Orders are only confirmed once full payment or deposit (as specified) is received.

  • All payments must be settled within 7 days from the invoice date, or a 5% interest penalty will be levied on every subsequent month.

  • Payment methods are as follows:

    • Cheque, payable to “Gingers Ltd”

    • Bank Transfer to HSBC (004) Account No. 808-198196-838

    • PayPal (we will send the PayPal QR code by email)

    • FPS to gingers@gingers.com.hk

    • Cash

    • TT Payment

3. Cancellation Charges

For parties UNDER HK$50,000:

  • 14 days or before: full deposit refunded

  • 7 days before: 80% of confirmed full amount held as credit toward your next event

  • 3 days (72 hrs) before: 80% forfeited

  • 24 hrs notice: 100% payment required

For parties OVER HK$50,000:

  • Upon confirmation: deposit forfeited if cancelled

  • 7 days or less notice: 100% payment required

4. Staff Charges

  • Our staffing is only available for Gingers catering.

5. Additional Delivery Charges

  • Delivery times are approximate; the customer must provide correct venue and access details.

  • Additional delivery charges will apply for early or late delivery/pick-up as follows:

    • Before 7:25AM – HK$125/van

    • 20:30–22:30 – HK$125/van

    • 22:30–Midnight – HK$190/van

    • Midnight–1AM – HK$250/van

  • Additional charges may also be incurred upon completion of the event (e.g., stair fees, parking, rubbish removal).

6. Lost or Damaged Equipment

  • All equipment supplied or hired by Gingers shall at all times be exclusively at the risk of the client during any period when the equipment is at the venue.

  • The client shall make good to the company all loss or damage.

  • If no waiter is present, the equipment must be packed and ready for collection. Additional charges will apply if not ready.

  • Any breakages will be charged accordingly.

7. Black Rain & Typhoon

  • In the event of weather conditions (black rain or typhoon), the event may be rescheduled to the next available day within 5 days of the original event, subject to availability, at no extra charge.

  • If the event is cancelled:

    • A minimum of 50% of the invoice amount plus HK$500 per staff member will be forfeited if cancellation is made within 48 hours.

    • Depending on notice and preparations already undertaken, up to 100% of the invoice may be charged.

8. Additional Terms

  • Verification & Fraud: Gingers reserves the right to verify any order and cancel incomplete, suspicious, or fraudulent ones. Fraudulent/prank orders are strictly prohibited, and legal action may be taken if losses occur.

  • Allergies & Dietary Needs: Customers must inform Gingers in writing of any allergies or dietary requirements. Gingers is not liable for reactions if requirements are not disclosed.

  • Food Photos & Menu Items: Photos are for reference only. Presentation, ingredients, and recipes may vary depending on chef or seasonal availability.

  • Amendments: Gingers may update these terms at any time.

  • Governing Law: All orders are governed by Hong Kong law and disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
